Exhibition Time: November 5 - November 24, 2017

The Chinese Realism School guides the artistic path of realistic painting toward eternity with a spirit of returning to truth, goodness, and beauty. Under this standard, a cohort of talented realist painters born in the 70s and 80s has coalesced. They are distributed all over the country, and through consecutive years of exhibitions and activities, they have gradually completed the transmission and inheritance of realistic painting between masters and apprentices, and have become a rising star in this field that should not be ignored. On November 5, 2017, the Guardian Art Center is poised to unveil an exhibition showcasing the endeavors of over 30 young realist oil painters from across the country, featuring over 80 of their latest works. With the concept of inheritance and the cohesion of realism, the exhibition confirms that this time-honored classical art has been succeeded by new generations in China and is still flourishing.

Amidst the dazzling category of artistic disciplines within contemporary society, against the backdrop of a fast-paced and alluring art milieu, these post-70s and 80s youth resolutely adhere to the language of realism in their paintings. With zealous dedication, they opt to produce merely a handful of pieces annually, pursuing excellence through arduous self-reflection and sincere creativity. Numerous in number, spreading amongst prestigious institutions and active cultural associations, they tenaciously cling to their long-cultivated ideals, expressing their poetic sensibilities through their beloved medium of realistic painting. Moreover, they are extremely persistent in their devotion to the production process and their demand for perfect quality, and they are extremely persistent in their devotion to the spirit of rationality and traditional culture.
