Exhibition Introduction

It is the very first time that the arms and armor of Qing Dynasty, presented as an independent subject, is grandly shown to the mainland public. Over 150 pieces of exquisite arms and armor collected by the Palace are carefully chosen by the Guardian curator team and the experts of the Palace Museum, displayed in three exhibition units of arms and armor in “Worship”, “Wars”, and “Arts”,  leading the exhibitions are various scenes of ‘Hunting’, ‘Military Parade’, ‘Worship’, ‘Marching’ and ‘Art’, etc.. To create a historical atmosphere of gallant and formidable warriors with pioneering spirits and remodel a golden age of both of polite betters and martial arts, the exhibition is designed to help the audiences review the spiritual perspective of political and military achievements.

The exhibition will be presented in the 2000 ㎡ show room on the 1^st floor of Guardian Art Centre. The setting is inspired by illustration art and stage design, creating the interaction between the spirit of ingenuity and royal implements, all contributing to a wholly unique and unforgettable atmosphere. The famous original cartoon painter Xiong Liang was invited to design playful images, such as the flying tiger to create a wonderful story line. The exhibition will be an epic trip of Chinese culture, present an unique way of antique interpretation to the audiences and help them appreciate the beauty of loyalty and determination, as well as classic and solemnity. Also, it is a great opportunity for parents to bring their children to gain braveness and growth through appreciating arts.
